YiWords

Community Guidelines

Last updated: 6 June 2026

YiWords aims to be a friendly, safe and respectful language-learning community. Wherever you come from and whatever your level, we are here together to learn. Please read and follow these guidelines; we do not tolerate behaviour that breaks them.

Be Respectful

We come from all over the world with different levels, but the same goal — to learn. Please be respectful and kind to others, and value curiosity and cross-cultural understanding.

Be Helpful

Learning a language is hard and takes courage and persistence. When others make a grammar mistake or ask a simple question, help them kindly and sincerely. Blame and rudeness do not help anyone learn.

Be Open

Even the same language has different words, accents and expressions — that is the beauty of language. Please keep an open mind and embrace differences.

Share Carefully

Your safety matters to us. Do not post or exchange personal information that could be misused, such as phone numbers, addresses, email, school, travel plans or social accounts. Content that posts or encourages sharing personal information may be removed.

Not Allowed

When using YiWords, please do not:

Reporting & Enforcement

If you find content or behaviour that breaks these guidelines, please tell us through the feedback/report option in the app’s settings. We review reports seriously. We may remove content that breaks these guidelines without prior notice and may, depending on severity, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts. Please do not look for loopholes — we will remove anything that violates the spirit of these guidelines.

In Closing

Thank you for helping make YiWords a fun, useful and respectful learning community.
